The nine days are divided in the group of three Goddess. First three days are devoted to Maa Durga, the killer of devils. This is primarily done to symbolize humanity. The second group of three Goddesses is devoted to Mata Lakshmi – “The Goddess of Wealth” and the last three Goddesses are devoted to Mata Saraswati, who blessed the people with wisdom.

Navratri is also celebrated to celebrate the fertility of the soil and monsoon harvest. The soil is worshipped and watered all nine days. Worshipping goes on all nine days and then at tenth-day Vijayadashami is celebrated. On this day, vehicles are worshipped and buying a vehicle is also considered to be auspicious.
